MOSCOW, April 9. /TASS/. /TASS/. Talks between Presidents Vladimir Putin of Russia and Alexander Lukashenko of Belarus will give a fresh impetus to the development of cooperation between the two countries’ authorities, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said on Sunday.
[The talks] gave an extra impetus to all bureaucrats in a good sense of the word, to the government to, so to say, finalize the political agreements reached by the presidents at the expert level, he said in an interview with the Moscow.Kremlin.Putin program on the Rossiya 1 television channel.
On April 5, the two presidents held one on one talks in the Kremlin and attended a meeting of the Supreme Council of the Union State of Russia and Belarus on the following day. Peskov said after the meeting that it had addressed the entire spectrum of Russian Belarusian relations, including security guarantees amid the changed situation and new threats.
